Mad Hatter’s tea party at The Nest

There was tea and cake aplenty as families stepped into a wonderfully wacky Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at The Nest to celebrate the nationwide literacy event, World Book Day.
The colourful event brought stories to life for children and families, with decorations, costumes and plenty of literary fun inspired by classic storybooks. Parents and carers were invited to join the celebration, helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that highlighted the joy of reading together.
Special guests on the day included the famous storybook characters The Tortoise and the Hare, who delighted children by joining in the festivities and posing for photos.
The event aimed to encourage a love of books and storytelling while bringing the community together to celebrate reading.
Hope Allen, Centre Lead, said: “World Book Day is a fantastic opportunity to inspire children and families to discover the joy of reading.
“Our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party was a fun and creative way to bring stories to life and encourage everyone to explore the wonderful world of books together.”
