Owl visitor inspires students at Bristol Futures Academy
Students at Bristol Futures Academy were treated to a unique and inspiring experience this week when an owl visited their school.
The visit was organised as part of the students’ curriculum on wildlife adaptations and conservation, offering a hands-on learning opportunity to deepen their understanding of the natural world.
The majestic bird, accompanied by an expert handler, captivated students with its striking features and impressive behaviours.
During the session, students learned about the owl’s adaptations for survival, such as its silent flight, sharp talons, and exceptional night vision.
The visit also emphasised the importance of conservation efforts to protect these remarkable creatures and their habitats.
A spokesperson for Bristol Futures Academy said: “We are thrilled to provide our students with such engaging educational experiences.
“Learning about wildlife firsthand develops a deeper appreciation and respect for the natural world.
“This visit is a perfect complement to our curriculum, sparking curiosity and critical thinking about conservation issues.”
