Pupils at The Nest cook up a Mexican taco feast

Pupils at The Nest put their culinary skills to the test this week as they cooked up a delicious Mexican taco feast!

Tacos, a traditional Mexican dish made using tortillas, are known for their versatility and global popularity.

Pupils explored a variety of tasty fillings and seasonings, learning firsthand how to create their own unique combinations.

The hands-on cooking session was part of a broader effort to teach practical life skills, including kitchen safety, hygiene, and the importance of following instructions.

As they chopped, stirred, and assembled their tacos, pupils gained confidence and took pride in their creations.

A spokesperson for The Nest said: “It was fantastic to see pupils so engaged.

“Cooking encourages independence and creativity while reinforcing the importance of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen. And, of course, the tacos were a big hit.”
