Snowdon Village supports innovative Equalex pilot Partnership

Snowdon Village has played a key role in a new regional scheme designed to revolutionise work experience offerings within alternative school provisions.
The Alternative Provision Equalex pilot has seen school leaders working in partnership with West of England Careers Hub representative Alex Chapel in a year-long pilot funded by the Department for Education.
The project is designed to test the Equalex framework, a modern approach to work experience, within alternative provision settings across the West of England.
As part of the programme, Snowdon Village has collaborated with the outreach team at University of Bristol, who delivered an engaging and interactive session for Year 10 students focused on developing skills and understanding pathways into employment.
This has provided students with valuable insight into the world of work and helped to build their confidence and aspirations.
The next stage of the partnership will see students visiting the University of Bristol campus, where they will explore the wide range of careers and opportunities available, further bringing their learning to life.
A spokesperson said: ““This partnership has provided our students with meaningful opportunities to explore future career pathways, build confidence, and engage with higher education in an inspiring and accessible way.”
